Children enrolled in Medicaid or All Kids are eligible to receive one clinical oral examination each year and routine treatments every six months. The dental program is administered by Doral Dental of Illinois 1-888-286-2447 (customer service for participants).
Adult dental care is difficult to locate, but may be available through:
- Area free/low-cost clinics
- Federally Qualified Health Centers or Public Health Programs in Your Community.
- Another source of care may be able to be found through the Chicago Dental Society.
- Also check with the University of Illinois at Chicago or Southern Illinois University the two area dental colleges to see if they will provide low cost treatment.
- Also contact schools that teach dental hygienists.
The National Association of Counties (NACO) has dental insurance that can be purchased. These plans are relatively reasonable and helps to reduce dental costs from 5-50%. To check out these plans go to the NACO Website
